Dons In The Community: Mayor Gavin Newsom's March Gladness :: USF Student Athletes Interact With Kids at the Community Event

(San Francisco, CA) - On Saturday, March 15, Mayor Gavin Newsom held his annual March Gladness event. This year, children from around the city competed in soccer and flag football tournaments as well as attended an information fair, ate free hot dogs and jumped in an inflatable bounce house.

USF Athletics was in attendance, with Atletic Director Debra Gore-Mann and Program Assistant Taryn Torgersen running the booth at the information fair, five Dons Student-Athletes walked around the event interacting with the children.

From Men's Basketball: Junior guard Dean Hadley and Sophomore forward Dior Lowhorn

From Men's Soccer: Junior forward Jeff Russell and Junior defender Kyle Schlumpf

From Women's Volleyball: Junior outside hitter Zuzana Bednarova
