PREP CAREER: Played four years of baseball for Deer Valley High School... selected to play in North/South High School California All-Star game...named Contra Costa Times Top-100 Athletes in 2003 and 2004 and named All-Bay Valley Athletic League twice... also wrestled for four years and won the BVAL championship.

PERSONAL: Joey Railey... goal for the season is to become a better player by learning from his peers... chose USF because he felt it was a perfect fit for him as a student and his relationship with the coaching staff... favorite quote is by Theodore Roosevelt "Whenever you are asked if you can do a job, tell them `Certainly I can', then get busy and find out how to do it"... favorite movie is 61*... parents are Kevin and Patty Railey... born on December 9, 1985 in Pittsburg, CA.
