Complete NAC Championship Final Results in PDF Format
The USF Track and Field teams competed in the second day of the National Athletic Conference Championships in Provo, Utah this afternoon and captured five individual titles in the last day of the competition. Leading the Dons on Saturday was junior Alex Nelson who won both the men's 800m (1:53.97) and 1500m (3:57.44), junior Michelle Born who won the women's 5000m (17:44.79), sophomore Briana Junior who won the women's triple jump (11.20m) and junior Brynn Maurer who won the women's javelin (35.28m) on Friday. Joining Born in the top three of the women's 5000m was senior Jennifer Hartford (17:45.79) who placed second and junior Laurel Kleiber (18:04.00) who placed third, leading to the sweep for the Dons. Posting runner-up finishes for the Dons at the NAC Championships in the running events was freshman Hannah O'Neal in the women's 800m (2:18.47), freshman Nicole Bowler in the women's 1500m (4:44.46) and senior Cheyne Inman in the men's 5000m (15:45.96). In the field the Dons got a second place finish from sophomore Alex McIntosh in the men's pole vault (4.50m) and a third place finish from freshman Oliver Kirkeby in the men's discus (42.63m). Along with the five conference titles the Dons also captured 17 All-Conference honors by finishing in the top three of an event.
